waiting.......again

John received a call from out PCP today. He has an appointment with a Urologist on Monday 11/2. Our PCP said he pulled some string to get him in that early. Hopefully his surgery will be scheduled shortly after that! Seems John has a thing for going in for surgery around Thanksgiving. Last year he had his sinus surgery 1 week before Thanksgiving....lol

Life has been pretty boring. John and I are in the process of cleaning out one of the other bedrooms in the upstairs for Jocelynn. Here current bedroom is right next to our bedroom (they share a wall) and she kicks in her sleep. So John and I are up at least once a night. Also we hear every little sound she makes. The bedroom we are cleaning for her is down the hallway, still close enough for us to hear her when she really needs us, but we are hoping to get more sleep at night. Also we are planning on finally moving her toys out of the living room and into her bedroom, her new room is much larger then her old room. Plus the new room has a closet. Right now she is using an Armour and it just isn't big enough for her cloths.

We will be saving her old room as a nursery, it is already painted yellow and green, very gender neutral. Also it is close to our room which works out well with babies! We will see, I feel like we are putting the cart before the horse but I'm trying to be optimistic with the resent news we have gotten about John.

Dr. Appointment

I went this morning(3/29) for an u/s to check follicles. I was extremely happy to see 7! WHAT?!?!!?!

2 on the left measuring 17.72 & 16.73

5 on the right measuring 12.51, 12.57, 12.59, 13.83 & 14.61

lining was 9.12

Not too bad considering they are doing a Clomid challenge to check my ovarian reserves....not so sure that is a worry with the number of follicles.....lol

I go back in the morning for another u/s, she wanted to give the bigger ones another night before triggering. So tomorrow(3/30) we will see what those 7 did!!!

In other news, John and I were able to go to church again this morning. I really do like the new church we found and I am beginning to believe that it is a perfect fit, and exactly what we were looking for and needed. We were not sure if we would make it this morning due to a prior obligation, but I decided that is was more important to make it to church and delayed my prior obligation.

John and I are still working on the basement. We were able to purchase a futon so there is now some seating and also an extra bed if needed! It is nice to be able to go down, watch a movie or play a video game and not have to sit on the floor or in a metal folding chair. Now I just have to find fabric to make a cover, we thought of using the same fabric as the curtains (black with red and blue popcorn buckets with popcorn ever were) but decided to find a more durable material in a neutral and use the popcorn fabric to make pillows. We are still looking for a border that looks like a movie reel, and we will be getting the movie posters together to start hanging up. Once that is done all we will need is the ceiling and a counter top for the concession area. Oh, and of course John's popcorn machine....lol....that man dreams big sometimes.

I have a feeling the basement will be a work in progress for a few more months.

Jocelynn is doing good. We seem to be in a good place for now, we have been for about 3 weeks, so I am waiting the the trying to start again. She has her first dentist appointment tomorrow..I think I am more nervous then she is, my baby is growing up too fast!

It's been a week

I can't believe is has been a week since my last post. As you can probably tell, not a lot has been going on. What little that has happened has mostly to do with the basement!

The trim is up! It looks great. I'm not completely sure of the color. I will have to give it time.

Also purchased the fabric for the curtain for the one tiny window. I love the fabric. It is black background with red and blue popcorn buckets with the popcorn spilling out. It is perfect for the movie theme. I'm hoping I purchased enough fabric to make a couple pillows.

Also the door to the other half of the basement (the laundry room) has been installed. John started painting the trim around the door and window last night. It looks good. Still undecided what color we are going to paint the door (if we are at all). It is a medium dark wood, not sure if the trim or wall color would look better. i will have to take pictures and post it and let you all tell me what would look best.

Other then that life has been pretty boring. Work is still super busy, in fact I should be doing some work from home as we speak...lol. Hopefully i get motivated to do so soon!

PS: HAPPY BIRTHDAY BETH!!!!! Hope you have a wonderful day!

PSS: Kristina I hope you feel better!!!!!

Weather

Why?!?!?! I really need to move south. I love snow, but only the first 2-3 snow storms. Here it is the end of February and what do we get yesterday, 7-8 inches more of snow. Just when I thought the shit was going to melt. Of course it wasn't just snow, it started out Sunday night as rain which turned to wet snow, then some fluffy snow and then wet snow again. So it's as heavy as can be!

In other news, The carpet is down in the basement. John also has his tv mounted on the wall and all the stereo components hooked up.

Here is a close up of the carpet. It looks GREAT with the wall color!

ALSO! Happy 21st Birthday Jekka and T.J.! PARTY TIME!!!!!!

What's Going On?!?!?!

Not a lot going on here. Bought a Wii Fit yesterday. It is fun! Lot of exercised and activities to do! Can't wait to unlock more of them!

The basement is coming along. We picked up the few odd and end electrical things and picked out the carpet. Hopefully that will go down this week.

John's TV is mounted to wall, waiting for us to enjoy it. Hopefully as soon as the carpet is installed we can! Now John is talking about getting new living room furniture and moving what we have down there. Man that boy has some BIG dreams. I guess he thinks I have a money tree planted out back. I am hoping once 'his room' is done, he will stop complaining about always having to spend our money on bills! Welcome to reality! When most of the bills we have is because of him. We had to go buy the Envoy, even though we had a perfectly good vehicle to use. We had to have the cell phones when i was pregnant so he could get a hold of me. But he doesn't look at it that way. Looks at all the spoiling he does on me and he NEVER gets anything. Typical Man. He never sees what he has, just what he doesn't!

Also....damn AF showed her face tonight. So on to cycle 28......I'm not upset, just tired. I just wanna be able to go 'oh, I'm late.....I may be pregnant. What a surprise!' Guess I should give up that dream!
So tomorrow night I will drown my pity in a (2 or 3 or 4) alcoholic drinks and be ready for the next cycle by Sunday. One more cycle and we go back to the Dr. Kinda refreshing and hopeful! Come on BFP!!!!!

PS.....Welcome Baby COTE! 9.5 pounds ~ 21 inches long! Congrats Jen and Chris!

Remodel

We have been working on finishing the basement since before the holidays. Then the holidays came and we didn't have time. Well, since the first of the year we have been really plugging along at it. I am happy to say that it was painted last night. I love it. We still have some way to go. Still needs a carpet and a ceiling, but that is all in the works. Here are some updated pictures! If you can imagine, the entire space was so full of boxes that we had a hard time moving around. Also the pictures are from roughly the same angle, so you can see the improvement!

When the work started the beginning of 2009!

All the Drywall up and and ready for the primer and paint!

And the finished paint Job. The color is Cranberry Zing!
